J Turner Constructions are a family-owned and operated business based in Adelaide, South Australia. Established in 2017 by James Turner, we specialise in bespoke build projects that combine the best in functional living and timeless design.
J Turner Constructions offers a unique and personalised approach to helping you realise your dream home aspirations, whether that be an architectural new home build or a renovation/extension project.
At our core, we are a team of experienced professionals who excel in bringing your ideas to life. With years of creative and practical expertise across all projects, J Turner Constructions will guide you through your build journey from concept stages to handover!

After 13 years in the building industry and 5 years in business, we have learned how to perfect the building process for our clients. The feedback we receive from clients is indicative to this and is definitely an element that we feel sets us apart in the industry.
The horror stories of the building industry have left a stain within the community. Here at J Turner Constructions, we aim to flip that negative perception by showing our clients the level of professionalism both on and off site that we deliver every time.

What is our process?
Our process is streamlined and client-focused, keeping all parties informed and included in every step.
We offer our clients a detailed Preliminary budget estimate, which is formulated from an initial budget and costing analysis (taking into consideration the building industry price rises so there are no nasty surprises!) as well as assessing the build type and plans. From here, once our client is happy with the initial estimates, the appropriate submissions and approvals are lodged.
Next comes the most important part of the build process: taking the time to get the design documentation together so that once the approvals come through – we can hit the ground running! After this key element is ticked off, we dive into a more detailed proposal and price the project with accuracy. Our client’s receive a full breakdown of all aspects of the build project. This offers our clients ultimate transparency.
Once the detailed proposal is accepted, the contracts are prepared and ready for construction!
We also submit the contracts to obtain your Homeowners Warranty Insurance and have a final pre-construction meeting to discuss any other important details before the heavy lifting begins.
It is then construction stage! A very exciting and fun time. All boxes are ticked, a network of trades have been tasked, the end goal is in sight and most importantly, our client is 100% supported through this next area of the build process.
